On May 26–27, 2025, representatives from the Department of Finance and Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” conducted an official visit to Trakya University in Edirne, Republic of Türkiye. The visit took place at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Kıymet Tunca Çalıyurt, Head of the Business Administration Department at the Faculty of Business Science and Economics.
The delegation included Prof. Dr. Eleonora Stancheva-Todorova, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Iliyana Ankova, and Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Nikolay Katsarski. The primary purpose of the visit was to discuss opportunities for future collaboration between the two institutions, including within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
During the two-day visit, two official meetings were held with faculty members and doctoral students from Trakya University. The discussions focused on organizing joint academic events such as workshops on current topics in accounting, scientific conferences, and opportunities for collaborative research projects.
Preparations are underway for the initiation of a bilateral agreement under the Erasmus+ program, which will enable the exchange of faculty and students between the two universities.
The meetings were marked by a spirit of academic cooperation and shared ideas, laying the foundation for a promising and productive partnership.
