On May 22, the master’s program “Energy Markets and Services” at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration welcomed Nikolay Iliev — an expert with extensive experience in energy market forecasting and energy company management.

As part of the guest lectures in the course “Management of Energy and Utility Companies”, Mr. Iliev introduced students to the topic of forecasting in the energy sector, highlighting the specific characteristics of various forecasting approaches and their practical applications within the Bulgarian energy market.

During the current academic year, the master’s program also introduced a new course focused on energy market modeling, led by Chief Assist. Prof. Dr. Mariya Trifonova. Students are being trained to use PLEXOS software, thanks to funding from one of the faculty’s major projects — TWIN4ECO.
