We are proud to share that three graduate students from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" – Gabriela Stoichkova, Vasilena Vasileva, and Silvia Chemshirova – were selected to take part in the Seventh edition of the EIB Summer School, hosted by the European Investment Bank Institute in Luxembourg from 23 June to 5 July 2025.
This year’s programme brought together 80 graduate students from 26 leading European universities for two weeks of high-level learning, engaging seminars, interactive group projects, and strategic discussions focused on the EIB Group’s mission, climate action, innovation, cohesion, and sustainable development.
The Sofia University participants joined peers from across Europe to explore topics such as energy transition, financial instruments for sustainability, infrastructure project implementation, and policy impact. The programme included contributions from EIB experts and leaders, who provided invaluable insights into the real-world application of EU policy through finance and innovation.
This enriching experience allowed students not only to deepen their understanding of the role of public financial institutions in Europe, but also to build strong international networks and exchange perspectives on key global challenges.
We are proud to see Sofia University represented on such a high-level platform and congratulate our students for their participation in the EIB Summer School Class of 2025!
