“Innovations penetrate our society. Of course, they cannot bypass the educational sector. This means that we should not be afraid of them, we should not be afraid of well-designed solutions that generate benefits for the next generation” – commented Assoc. Prof. Boryana Pelova in an interview with Aleksandar Glavchev - editor, Digitalk.bg.
During the talk Assoc. Prof. Pelova shared her view on the transformative AI role in the current workflow dynamics. “With the development of new technologies, the routine part of the work is being addressed by high-tech solutions. This, in a way, opens up space and frees time for everyone to embrace their unique talents. Practicing a profession that one loves leads to the creation of a product that is the result of professional knowledge and competencies as well as the soul and the heart of the creator. The latter is still not in the AI domain“.
Discussing the awarded innovative teaching model, developed with the active support of Experian Bulgaria, Assoc. Prof. Pelova commented: „What is needed for such a successful partnership to happen and bring its positive change? Such kind of initiatives require time; they require dedication as well as additional work. When we are on the way to bringing positive changes and yield more opportunities for the next generation, we shouldn’t be afraid of working hard and investing our time and energy, and of course do it with heart. Such a partnership is also a significant investment for the business. Our business partners invest a lot of time and resources, they form a dedicated team of professionals, working with the university“.
The innovative educational model was awarded by the international university alliance Transform4Europe and it was presented at the stage of Digitalk+AI in the panel „Bridging Minds: Academic Partnerships in the Age of AI“, moderated by Georgi Nenov – creator and host of the Superhuman podcast. Assoc. Prof. Boryana Pelova and Damyan Iliev – Senior finance manager at Experian Bulgaria, shared their experience with the audience.
Damyan Iliev commented on the role of business-academic partnerships.
“Partnering with the academic community we have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the education as well as to build future-ready professionals, who are prepared to understand real business challenges. We believe that when we invest in knowledge and collaboration, we invest in sustainable future. This forms the major value of the educational innovations – their applicability and long-lasting effect“.
The innovative educational product is developed in collaboration and integrated in the teaching syllabus for 6 years in a row. Its successful implementation during the last academic year was possible thanks to the hard work of Experian professionals, partnering with Assoc. Prof. Pelova and Dr. Lilyana Georgieva. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Damyan Iliev, Boris Krunev, Vasil Dimitrov, Assya Shiklova, and Leonardo Tognolini for their time, energy, ideas, and heart they gave to this project! We continue to collaborate and work for modern, high-quality education aligned with the best European standards in Bulgaria.
