Are you a student who dreams green and wants to dedicate some of your time and knowledge to the future of the Earth? Do you believe in leading by example, engaging in discussions with your professors and peers because you seek authority? Do you desire a job that harmonizes with the planet, with your superpower being a belief in the sustainable development of economies and societies? You care about the tree you've planted but also about the victims of earthquakes and floods on the other side of the globe. Do you want to be part of a community that thinks just like you? Become a volunteer at the fourth edition of the most successful forum for green transformation – "Green Transition Forum 4.0 – New Perspectives for Central and Eastern Europe", which will take place in Sofia from June 26th to 28th, 2024.

In the upcoming event the young people of Bulgaria are going to show their point of view. A special Fire Chat for volunteers is planned with inspiring speakers – including the Executive Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for the European Green Deal, Mr. Maroš Šefčovič, the Commissioner for Jobs and Social Rights, Mr. Nicolas Schmit, the Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education, and Youth, Mrs. Iliana Ivanova, and the Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation of Slovenia, Dr. Igor Papič. Among the confirmed panelists are also the President of the EIB, Mrs. Nadia Calviño, and the Deputy Director of the Energy Community, Mr. Dirk Buschle. Joining them in the green chat for the future will be prime ministers, ministers, mayors, CEOs of major companies, scholars, journalists, and activists.

The organizers of the Green Transition Forum are Dir.bg and 3E News – the largest internet portal in Bulgaria and the website for sustainable policies in the economy.

"We believe that our mission is to be mediators of the important public conversation about what is happening to the planet, despite fake news, misinformation, and populist messages. The three global transformations – green, digital, and demographic – are huge challenges for governments and industries, but most of all for you – the young people. We are sure you have questions to ask. Join our team and become part of the active, knowledgeable, strong voices of transformation. This meeting will not leave you indifferent", the organizers said.

Interested students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration can learn about the volunteering opportunity on April 12th, Friday, starting from 11:30 AM in Room 420. Lecturers will include the organizers of the event, including Mrs. Monika Stanisheva.
