The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and the company GemSeek agreed upon collaboration in the process of education and training of highly qualified specialists in the field of business analytics and big data modelling. The collaboration activities would be carried out in accordance with a partnership agreement signed by Prof. Anatas Gerdjikov, Rector of Sofia University, Assoc. Prof. Teodor Sedlarski, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, and Petko Tinchev, Managing Partner of GemSeek.
Among others, the agreement considers provision of technological assistance for modern training in the field of business analytics and big data modelling. A scholarship program aimed at supporting distinguished students would be established accordingly. The parties also agreed on implementation of business driven case studies in the process of training as well as mutual organization of events with educational, scientific, and applied importance. Last but not least, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and GemSeek will put on mutual efforts so as to support professional development and career growth of students mastering the field of business analytics and big data modelling.
GemSeek made a donation of ten laptops that would enable efficient accomplishment of empirical assignments for courses tutored at the MSc program in Business Analytics.
