On April 11, 2022, KPMG in Bulgaria held an online lecture on "Understanding the business environment and risks to companies - the basis for quality audit" for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski”.
Ivan Andonov, Partner and Head of Audit, and Valeria Bocheva, Senior Human Resources Manager, presented to the students the audit profession and opportunities for development in the field. The role of the auditor in the interconnected business environment is complex and extensive, it is essential to understand how the business works and what risks companies face.
The lecture was attended by Yordan Kamdzhilov, Senior Manager, and Stanislava Bazovska Papazi, Senior Manager, who presented the various aspects of risk assessment, which are faced by companies related to the environment in which they operate, management systems in companies, business processes, IT systems, etc.
Students actively participated in the Q&A session, asking questions about the auditor's profession and advice on their next steps in their careers.
