On March 29th, Vasil Karaivanov delivered a guest lecture on "Project Financing in Energy" in the new master's program "Nuclear Technologies, Management, and Innovations" in English, jointly created by the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration and the Faculty of Physics at Sofia University. Vasil Karaivanov, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration, delivered his guest lecture as a key expert in many major energy and infrastructure projects in the country over the past 20 years.

In his guest lecture, Vasil Karaivanov presented the main processes of preparation, structuring, and implementation of major infrastructure projects "on green terms" using project financing. The lectures included numerous case studies from practice, including from major energy projects in Bulgaria. Assist. Prof. Vasil Karaivanov also teaches lectures on "Project Financing" in another master's program for the energy sector - "Energy Markets and Services", a discipline that has been taught for nearly 30 years and from the very beginning includes many practical case studies from infrastructure, energy, and utility businesses.

Vasil Karaivanov is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Sofia Tech Park" and the Chairman of the Bulgarian Macroeconomics Association.
