Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev took part in the 14th Green Forum organized by the "Manager" magazine in Sofia. The event took place on June 27, 2023 and was dedicated to climate change and global warming.
The Green Forum began with a video address by Virginijus Sinkevičius, Commissioner for the Environment, Oceans and Fisheries at the European Commission and continued with several panels covering current developments in the transition to a greener economy.
The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration Assoc. Prof. Atanas Georgiev participated as a moderator in two of the event's panels. He led talks on topics such as separate waste collection, ESG - sustainable business models and regulations in the smokeless tobacco products.
The 14th Green Forum outlined the steps towards a change in the thinking and actions of the business, the state and the society. Leaders and experts from various sectors participated in it, who discussed the progressive role of business in the green transition and the challenges on a global and national scale.
