A team of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration in partnership with the University of Salzburg "Paris Lordon" has been awarded a new project financed by the Fund for Scientific Research - "A contest for projects under the bilateral cooperation program Bulgaria - Austria - 2022" on the topic "European clothing - Searching for a way out of unsustainable supply chains.

The project is focused on research and analysis of economic, social and material processes in the production of textiles and clothing in Europe. This industry is of interest because it can be revitalized and find a place on the economic map by creating new jobs, ensuring sustainable production by taking into account the existing European socio-ecological norms.

The head of the project is Prof. Dr. Albena Vutsova, and participants in the scientific team are Assoc. Prof. Dr. Todor Yalamov, Dr. Olga Ignatova, PhD student Plamena Kalaidzhieva as well as the student Iveta Komitova.

The implementation of the project activities will support the development of scientific research and create lasting partnerships through knowledge sharing and networking. Within the framework of the project, it is planned to prepare joint scientific publications with the Austrian colleagues, to organize a conference at which the results of the studies and research will be presented and discussed.
