Chief Assistant Professor Dr. Mariya Trifonova participated in an event “Business meeting in Varna and the region”, organized by Capital Magazine in Varna, Bulgaria, on June 6th, 2023.
During the event, Dr. Trifonova emphasized the untapped potential of the region for industrial decarbonization, highlighting the crucial role of ports in transforming into decarbonization hubs. She also discussed the abundant wind energy resources available both onshore and in maritime spaces.
The Southeast region of Bulgaria is home to some of the largest industrial companies, and Dr. Trifonova underlined their significance in driving research, innovation, and collaboration with academia. These companies play a vital role in advancing technological advancements, promoting sustainable practices, and fostering partnerships with educational institutions.
