On October 17th, the first event of its kind “Career Orientation Days” began at the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”. It is aimed primarily at newly enrolled first-year students, but is also open to all other interested parties. The event opened with seminars on career guidance and job application. The first two modules, offered by Mrs. Nadya Stoyanova and Mrs. Maria Ilieva from the Sofia University Career Development Department, introduced the participants to the following questions, which are important for every beginning student:
- what are your plans after you graduate from university;
- what are your strengths and how to use them in your career choice;
- what are the important things for you and how they correspond to the chosen profession.
- how to be successful when it's time to work;
- what employers are looking for;
- useful tips for CV and job interview preparation.
The event continued with specialized company presentations from leading companies in their sector, which gave attendees the opportunity to connect with experts from the field and draw on their valuable years of experience, ask questions and get advice.
“Career Orientation Days” continues next week until October 27th with the ever-intriguing company presentations of companies from various industries. The event takes place in the cozy atmosphere of room 401 in the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Even if you have not pre-registered by filling out a form, you can get involved directly by attending some or all of the workshops.
