Assoc. Prof. Dr. Savina Mihaylova-Goleminova, Todor Yankulov, Ivelina Peneva, Dian Dimitrov and Todor Todorov presented part of the results of an analysis prepared for the European project "Improving the inspection control by the Public Financial Inspection Agency", financed under priority axis No. 2 "Efficient and professional management in partnership with the civil society and business" of the Operational Programme "Good governance". She pointed out that there is a need for adjustments in the current Law on the Public Financial Inspection and in the Regulations for its implementation.

According to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Savina Mihaylova-Goleminova, the topic that should be put on the agenda is the preparation of a new modern Law on Public Financial Inspection.

This should bring the PFIA into line with the new standards being set for administration, including the right to good administration, which is respected even now and is enshrined in the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
