The first edition of the International Scientific Conference on "Innovation Frontiers", organized by the Professional College of Business and Finance, was held in the period June 26-28, 2023 in the city of Burgas. Assist. Prof. Desislava Kalcheva, PhD presented a report "Smart Cities' Concept - Development and Implementation in Bulgaria" in the Advances in Public Sector Panel Session and Advances in Science and Technology Panel Session.
During the presentation, the essence and importance of smart cities and green investments were discussed, as well as the possibilities for financing sustainable municipal projects and projects related to the digital transformation of the local authorities.
After the conference, on June 29, 2023, a working meeting was held between representatives of SU "St. Kliment Ohridski" (Bulgaria), THM Business School (Germany), Bavarian Foresight-Institute (Germany) and XAMK - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences.
At the meeting, the possibilities for joint development of projects in the field of entrepreneurship, management, scientific research, improving the quality of education, sustainable finance, digitalization and the creation of working groups for the development of international projects and reports were discussed.
