About the lecturers:

 

Marc-Alexander Christ

Marc-Alexander is co-founder of the leading mobile payment company SumUp. He has established SumUp as one of the leading payment companies worldwide, with a presence in 34 countries including Europe, Brazil, Chile and the U.S. Marc has secured more than €1 billion in funding, from partners such as Goldman, Bain and Temasek and led a number of acquisitions for SumUp.

Marc has extensive experience in the startup world. Prior to co-founding SumUp, Marc founded MIOSATO - The Online Fashion Gallery and led the sales department of Groupon/Citydeal in the early days of the company.

Marc started his career in investment banking, first at European Investors in New York and later as Vice President at JPMorgan in London and Frankfurt.

Marc holds a Master of Arts in International Business as well as a Doctorandus de Bedrijfswetenschappen from the University of Maastricht.

 

Stoil Vasilev

Stoil Vasilev has been leading Corporate Development at SumUp for over 7 years. He is an expert in the financial services industry with more than a decade of experience. The main focus and interest of Stoil lie in the areas of Corporate Development, Corporate Finance, Investments and M&A.

During his career, Stoil held the position of Acquisitions Manager at Landmark and Managing Director of the leasing arm of Eurohold - EuroLease Group.

When not ideating the Corporate Development strategy for SumUp or sharing thought leadership on the stages of top FinTech conferences globally, Stoil enjoys running and spending time with his family.

Stoil holds a Finance degree from D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics in Bulgaria. Stoil also successfully passed levels 1 & 2 of CFA.
