Aim of the programme: To train highly qualified professionals who are proficient in modern methods and tools for strategic management and organizational development and modelling of business processes and can work in a multinational and multicultural environment. After completing the programme, the student should be familiar with and be able to perform a variety of functions related to strategic management in companies from different sectors of the economy, including specialized consulting for firms, providing strategic planning and organisational development.

 

The programme offers a multicultural environment and leadership development capabilities. Currently there are representatives from 13 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Europe with diverse backgrounds such as managers and diplomats.

 

For the best performing students in the programme there is the opportunity to obtain a double degree from the University of Poitiers in France at the same semester of study there under the Erasmus programme. Guest lecturers are professors from Germany, France and Japan, as well as managers from leading companies from Bulgaria and countries of the students.

 

The training is in the evenings on weekdays and/or Saturdays and Sundays.

 

Qualification: Graduates of the programme receive the qualification Strategic Management

Possible career opportunities for graduates: industry and organizations engaged in strategic management and/or consultants and researchers, both nationally and internationally; possible career path to pursue doctoral studies and to research.

 

The duration of studies is 1,5 year (3 semesters) for specialists and 2 years (4 semesters) for non-specialists and for students with 180 or 210 credits.

 

The course includes:

 

Basic training - for non-specialists only - the first year of their training - managerial, economic, financial, accounting and legal disciplines, in order to introduce the studied issues and create a basis for mastering the special training.

 

In the second year of their training, non-specialists follow the curriculum which includes:

 

  • Basic compulsory training - subjects building the professional specialization of a Master in Business Management with emphasis on Strategic management and business development.
  • Professional training - free elective courses

 

The possibility of studying additional disciplines in elective form. The workload and credits for these courses are not counted towards the fulfilment of the curriculum.

 

The training is completed in the defense of a master's thesis, the state sessions being in March and July respectively (the following calendar year)
