Assistant Professor Dr. Nikolet Pavlova is the newest Laboratory of Synthetic Biology and Bioinformatics member in the Faculty of Biology. Nikolet is a graduate specialist in molecular biology at the Faculty of Biology of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". She obtained a master's degree in Genetics and Genomics and a doctoral degree in Genetics - Bioinformatics from Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" under the scientific supervision of Prof. Robert Penchovsky. Dr. Pavlova works in applied bioinformatics, analyzing the composition of bacterial riboswitches and other RNAs as targets for creating new antibacterial agents.
