Service activity:
The main scientific activity of the Laboratory of Trace Analysis: ICP-techniques and radioanalytical methods is the development of methods for quantitative determination of inorganic and organic pollutants and radionuclides in environmental objects. With the available equipment, methods have been developed for the determination of essential and potentially toxic elements in soils, plants, water, food, beverages, geological materials, liquid and solid wastes, archeological samples, etc.
The following service activity is performed in the Training and Scientific Laboratory for Trace Analysis: ICP techniques and radioanalytical methods:
- Determination of macro- and microelement composition of liquid samples with ICP-AES and ICP-MS.
- Determination of elemental composition of solid samples by non-destructive methods XRF and LA-ICP-MS
- Determination of inorganic anions in environmental samples
- Determination of natural and synthetic radionuclides with Gamma spectrometer.
- Analysis of organic contaminants in environmental and food samples by HPLC and GC/MS/MS.
- Determination of organometallic compounds by hybrid assay techniques - LC-ICP-MS.
Available equipment:
- ICP-MS (Perkin Elmer SCIEX DRC-e ICP-MS with laser excitation section LA-ICP-MS (New Wave Research) and on-line LC-ICP-MS;
- ICP-AES (Perkin Elmer Optima 7000 DV);
- HPLC-DAD (VARIAN ProStar system);
- Gamma spectrometer (Cambera);
- XRF (Brucker);
- IC, CIC-D160 (Shine);
