Polymer scientists from the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Sofia University participated at the 19th National Symposium POLYMERS 2019 that took place from 9th to 12th of September, 2019 at the Art Gallery “Dechko Stoev” in Pomorie, Bulgaria.
Since 1967 Symposium Polymers has become the most important forum in Bulgaria for presenting and discussing research results in all sub-areas of polymer science. Traditionally, it brings together researchers from Bulgaria and from all over the World to communicate and disseminate the latest knowledge and developments in polymer chemistry, physics, materials and technologies. The event was organized by the Institute of Polymers, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, University “Prof. D-r Asen Zlatarov”, Burgas and the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia, under the patronage of Mr. Ivan Alexiev – Mayor of Pomorie Municipality.

One of the invited speakers at the Symposium was Prof. Nick Tsarevsky from the Department of Chemistry Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas, USA who is alumnus of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Sofia University.
The Faculty’s scientists participated with lectures presented by Assoc. Prof. Elena Vassileva and Assist. Prof. Marin Simeonov, as well as with the posters presented by Prof. George Georgiev and Assist. Prof. Konstans Ruseva.
