The University Botanic Gardens hosted a number of events included in the programme of the international World Rose festival, organized by Tourexpo Varna Ltd, Lanzheron theatre - Harkow, Art School - Odessa, in cooperation with Municipality of Varna and the University Botanic Gardens Balchik and Varna.
The participants took part in a tour around the gardens, in a lecture "Bulgarian nature: a world treasury" and an art exhibition "Soul ecology" of paintings of young artists from Ukrainian art studio "Fantasy". A deep concern about the ecology of the Black Sea was expressed; traditional dances and designing artifacts of natural elements were part of the programme as well.
