The workshor was organised for the lecturers of the two theological educational institutions, initiated by Assoc. Prof. Bozhidar Andonov, Faculty of Theology, Sofia University and Fr. Zahari Gechev, Rector of the Sofia Theological Seminary.
The meeting is the first of the type and happened to become a very successful initiative for exchange of experience, ideas and hopes. In the difficult time we live in, collaboration between the secondary and the higher institutions is required in order to more successfully overcome the difficulties, noted the Rector of the Seminary and the Dean of the Faculty of Theology in their opening address.
All techers in theology in the Seminary are alumni of the Faculty of Theology, Sofia University. They shared that the best students they have would continue their education in the same Faculty, the oldest and most prestigeous theological school. The techers were invited to continue their study in the Master's Degree and PhD level of study at the Faculty, they could also specialise abroad. The common concern on the undecided status of the subject Religion, which reflects the ducation in the Faculty of Theology.
The workshop ended by a mutual remission and stated will for establishments of regular relations for the common prosperity.
