The shared opinion is that the Law of the Scientific Degrees should go together with the Law of Higher Education. Prof. Emilia Rangelova, Chair of the University Syndicate Federation and Prof. Veselin Brezin expressed their opinions on the wording of the Law and disappointment that the debates were taking place via the media.

Prof. Stanislav Stanilov, a member of the Committee on the issues of the education, science and children, answered some of the questions. The Ministry of Education did not have a representative.

Question which were not debated through the media, but were considered important by the academia were raised, such as these concerning the need for a law on the Bulgarian language.

Prof. Popivanov, Vice-Rector, expressed the opinion that good or bad the Bill will become a Law, and the important thing is that the academia should combine efforts in developing the educational system.
