We are here to bow before the unbreakable Levski's feith in the Bulgarians said Prof. Ilchev, the Rector, in front of the Levski's Monument
The Rector addressed the meeting by noting that the gathering would not celebrate by pathetic speeches which Levski always distasted. He believed in his people according to the Rector, that is what we celebrated. Prof. Ilchev, who is historian, also said that Levski worked for the country before it was re-established, and that he believed in the unity of motherland and state. We want freedom to be state of mind, the freedom of the different thinking, and he pleeded for us to be free to say what you think is wrong as did Levski.
