Trilogue between the Abraham's religions: Judaism, Christianity and Islam (rediscovering traditions and values)

This theme united the participants of the international symposium, organizes by the Faculty of Theology. In the Conference Hall gathered representatives of Bulgarian Orthodox Church, Macedonian Orthodox Church, Evangelist Church in Germany, Higher Islamic Institute, Institute of East European Churches in Germany, lecturers of the Faculty of Theology.

The participants were united by the shared idea of tolerance and recognition of all religions, respect towards different thinking and different religion.

Prof. Ivan Ilchev, Rector of Sofia University, declared his satisfaction with the practical results of the energetic work of the Faculty of Theology and wished fruitful work to the participants.

Assoc. Prof. Sergey Ignatov, acting Minister of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science pointed out in his address the importance of the dialogue and unity of the national values for the contemporary multicultural European society. He also noted the common goal to balance and exploit the different religions' potential towards better life for the contemporary people.

The International symposium was initiated by the programme branch of the scientific project "The Bible - a basis for dialogue of the cultural life and Bulgaria's confessional relations as a member of the EU".

The event will last from 13th to 15th November, Conference Hall.
