The Prefect of the Vatican Apostolic Library Cardinal Raffaele Farina and Sofia University Rector Prof. Ilchev signed a Framework Agreement for collaboration in the field of paleo-Slavic research and theis dissemination in Italy, Bulgaria and third countries.
The subject of the Agreement are the organization and performance of joint events, such as round tables, seminars, exhibitions, etc. as well as exchange of specialized literature, funding of young specialist development and internships in the field of paleo-Slavic research, preservation and conservation of the Slavic cultural artifacts in the funds of the Apostolic Library and in Bulgaria, joint scientific issues and projects.
Cardinal Raffaele Farina was awarded the Honorary Degree Doctor Honoris Causa on an official ceremony in the Aula.
