Students of European Studies at Sofia University won the first National Student Euro-Competition

Students of Sofia University, New Bulgarian University and South-West University took part in a hot final of the National Student Euro-Competition on 27th May.

The jury was chaired by Mr. Andrey Kovachev (EPP, GERB) announced the winners: the team from Sofia University, European Studies. The prize is a visit to a session of the EP in Strasbourg and meetings with the Bulgarian representatives in the Parliament. The competitors were 45, in 8 teams from different universities, and was entitled "Changing role of the EP in the European policies and the globalizing world". It was organized by the Information Office of the EP in Bulgaria.

Three students of the winning team were awarded personally for best results in the test on EC. The team included: Dessislava Antonova, Radoslava Durmishkova, Ruslan Leontiev, Polina Tsvetanova and Neno Nenov.

The jury included also Violeta Stanichic, chief executive of the EP Information Office in Bulgaria, Milena Milotinova, journalist and media expert in the field of EC and Peyo Sizov of European Youth Association - Bulgaria. Second came the team of the South-West University, and the third was the New Bulgarian University team.
