The programme includes lectures delivered by renowned world experts from NASA, European Space Agency, University of Oxford, MIT, and many other leading organisations. The initiative is free and started on 5th of April, 2012, Sofia University.

Space Challenges 2012 is interdisciplinary programme, open for students with different academic background and experience. The initiative includes curriculum with modules, based on different thematic areas, team projects will be arranged to prove students' understanding of space sciences and their application, gathering students with different education.
The programme includes infomal meetings, so to support the establishment of ever growing network of young specialists with interest in scioence and technologies.
Meetings and interviews with young people will support their further professional realisation in this field.
