Prof. Ivan Ilchev symbolically reopened the doors of Sofia University as the case with the Botanic Gardens in Balchik was solved in favour of the University.
The Rector reopened the University's doors and gave a speech reminding of the dignity of the Academia which is a warden of morale and values of the Bulgarian society. He also stated the firm decision to protest even if loosing as it is better to loose standing rather than kneeling, or the whole society will have to kneel. Then he described the importance of such decision, of the Botanic Garden, and of science which is way into 21st century.
