Second meeting of the Board of Directors of the Bulgarian - Korean Centre for IT

Today the Board met to accept the budget for 2011.

The exchange of practices and technologies in the field of IT will enhance the contribution of the electronic services in benefit of the citizens and business. The project for Bulgarian-Korean Centre for IT Cooperation is supported by two ministries: the Ministry of Transport, IT and Communications and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Science as it enhances the effectiveness of economics. The event started by Prof. Nedyu Popivanov, General Executive of the Centre, who presented a report on the past period. The meetings of the work group started after the establishment of the Centre in October, 2010; three projects were started. The first of them is a review of he status quo in Bulgaria, the second - preparation of KPI, and the third deals with developing a Road map for the work of the Centre for 2011-2012. This complies with the priorities of the Government in the field of e-learning and establishment of e-government (which is in the foundation of the Centre).

The budget of the Centre was presented by the Korean coordinator Joon Jaehong who presented the four major projects planned for the current year. The first is in the field of semantic web technologies, the second is related to designing eService Tech Framework, the third deals with research and analysis of good practices in the field of e-government, and the fourth - analysis of the status and tendencies in the sphere of ICI.
