The international conference "Relationships between the State Courts and the EU Court" started in hotel Metropolitan on 11th September, 2009 at 9:30. It was organized by the Faculty of Law at Sofia University within the frame of a scientific project in collaboration with the Public Administration Institute.
The conference took place on 11th and 12th September and was initiated by Dr. Atanas Semov, deputy chairman of the National Assembly and head of the International MA programme "EU Law" of the Faculty of Law of Sofia University and the universities in Nancy and Strasbourg, France.
Addresses were presented by the Rector, Prof. Ivan Ilchev, Margarita Popova, Minister of Justice, Prof. Tencho Kolev, Dean of Faculty of Law, and the Ambassador of France, H.E. Mr. Etienne de Poncins.
Talks were delivered by Dr. Marko Semov and Prof. Jean-Paul Jacque, ex-Director of the Legal Service of the Council of the European Union. More than 250 experts of 10 countries attended the conference.
