Prof. Popivanov, Vice-Rector, talked to Mr. Juan Manuel Moreno Olmedilla, representative of the World Bank for Bulgaria. The meeting took place on 2nd July, 2009.
The meeting was devoted to a discussion of the higher education financing in the context of the strategic goals of Sofia University in the field of education and science, matriculation as admission for the University, and the professional realization of the graduates.
Juan Manuel Moreno Olmedilla has been a senior expert in education in the Department for Europe and Central Asia of The World Bank since. He was a lecturer at Universidad Nacional de Education a Distancia in Spain, a visiting lecturer in Holland and the USA. He is also author of a number of papers on distance learning, teacher qualifications, and the educational reforms.
