The plans of the two institutions include establishing a class of Public Administration with the methodology support of Sofia University. Prof. Ilchev shared a statement he issued at his assuming the office of Sofia University Rector that the first thing he would do would be to ask his secretary what has to be done. Training specialists for the public administartion is of crucial importance for improving its activity.

Another joint initiative is the kindergarten in Bozhuriste Municipality to become a representative for teacher practice of Sofia University students.

Sofia University Administration made a proposition to the Association of Municipalities to establish grants for students from these municipalities in order to encourage their educational grouth and to stimulate their returning back to their home places to support local economies.
