After several weeks of debates with the Finance Minister of Bulgaria Simeon Dyankov on the policy of supporting quality higher education and quality university science, today, 12th November, 2010, after a meeting between the Rector, Prof. Ilchev and the Chair of the Bulgarian Parliament Tsetska Tsacheva, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, and the Finance Minister Simeon Dyankov, the Chair of the Bulgarian Parliament's suggestion was accepted: the savings in the budget of the Parliament of about BGN 2,000,000 to support the national educational and scientific centre Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski".

The decision of of the Government and the meeting with the Chair of the Bulgarian Parliamen do not cancel the mееting procession of Sofia University for 16th November, 2010.
