In compliance with the requirements of Strategy 2020 and the European agreements on the type and quality of teacher training Sofia University announced the establishment of the new speciality.
The students will gain a wide core knowledge in two fields: biology and English, as well as specialized knowledge in psychology, pedagogy and methodology sciences. The core disciplines will be supported by a number of elective ones in the fields of biology and English as well as these giving professional competence of a teacher in these fields. The graduates will be able to continue their education at Master's Degree level in biology, English or teaching biology and English.
The graduates can work as teacher of biology or English in the state and private schools on all EU countries. The admission will be based on exams in English and biology or matriculations in these subjects.
