That is what Nikola Petkov, program manager of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute stated. The commander of the U.S. Amunsen-Scott base, located on the South Pole, Professor Pimpirev has donated a memorial plaque to the Bulgarian Antarctic Station St. Kl. Prof. Hristo Pimpirev together with Mongolian Prof. Dugerzhav already successfully acclimated to the camp after arriving from the South Pole, where he spent last night in a tent.
Both are expected to return on January 10 night in Punta Arenas from where will continue by bus to Ushuaia and by the Spanian Esperides ship will be included in the regular course of the 21st Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition of Livingston Island.
