The Rector Prof. Ivan Ilchev, the Minister of Education Daniel Valchev, and the Minister of Agriculture Valeri Tsvetanov announced on 10th January, in the New Conference Hall of the Rectorate that all Bulgarian scientists will have access to virtual libraries containing scientific papers. The access will be supported by the well-known databases SCOPUS, ProQuest and Science Direct. The Ministry of Education and Science gives 28 bln BGN. This new gain will support the scientific research and will give quick access to the latest scientific papers, books, reviews, articles, etc.
A contract was signed between Sofia University and the Ministry of Agriculture about the stablishment of a Genome Centre for Selection and Genetics in Thremmatology at the Faculty of Biology. The new research structure will support the development of the Bulgarian agriculture.
