MUSARUM SEMPER AMATOR

A conference dedicated in memoriam to Prof. Dimitar Boyadjiev gathered on 13 and 14 November the most well-known Bulgarian researchers and specialists in the field of classical philology, history, culture and literature

The conference was opened by Assoc. Prof. Petya Yaneva, Dean of the Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology, whose emotional speech was dedicated to the scientist and lecturer Prof. Dimitar Boyadjiev.

Prof. Dimitar Boyadjiev was a renowned researcher of the antiquity and a lecturer of Latin, Latin and Greek historical grammar, people's Latin, comparative Roman language study, and paleo-Balkan languages. His early death, at the age of 55, deprived science and his colleagues of his expertise and personality. He was the author of excellent translations from Old Greek and Latin of Satyricon by Petronius, Apology and Anthology by Apuleius.

The conference programme contains interesting topics of contemporary research on the newly-found inscription from Montana, new Thracian village name, marine archaeology and linguistics, etc.
