The Academic Council of Sofia University awarded Mrs Gergina Toncheva was awarded the Honorary Blue Ribbon Insignia, Verdict 3 from 19 December, 2012
The official ceremony was held during the conference of the Classical Lyceum, dedicated to the National Holiday 3rd March, in the Aula, Sofia University.
Gergina Toncheva graduated from Sofia University, speciality Bulgarian Philology. She was a teacher of Bulgarian language at 1st German Language School, Sofia. In 1977 she was invited to become the Director of the newly established Classical Lyceum "St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher", where she also taught "To love the words" ("Lyuboslovie"). She was a Director for 33 years, until 2010.
