The seminars on 23th and 24th June, 2011 are organized by the Institute for doctoral and postdoctoral research "Dialogue Europa" - Center for Excellence at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski"with the international research and educational network "Partnership for education in responsible life".
A series of two one-day seminars for researchers, lecturers, teachers, representatives of local authorities and NGOs with interest in ecology and sustainable development will take place. The theme of the seminars is "Images and objects - Methods of active education in ecology and responsible citizenship"; lecturers are representatives of the network and authors of an innovative interactive methodology for education in this field.
The goals of the seminars are to support teachers, educators and lecturers for integrating the concepts of sustainable development in education. The PERL network gathers lecturers,researchers and practitioners, who work for development of citizen responsibility for realization of the goals of sustainable development. The participants will be introduced to the results which were reached by the team that developed the active methods of education in the field.
