The 140th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated in Sofia University Aula.
Gandhi gained his worldwide popularity because of his concept of non-violence and Satyagraha (Sanskrit - nonviolent resistance). The celebration was organized by the specialty Indian Studies, Association for Bulgarian-Indian Relationships, and club "Friends of India".
