The delegation was welcomed by the Rector, Prof. Ilchev, in Hall 1. The guests were introduced to the place Sofia University had won in Bulgaria, on the Balkans, and in the world; the completed and ongoing projects; the relations between the University and the business and economics, and the impact it has on the country development.

Prof. Ilchev noted that Sofia University is deeply interested in the relations with the fast developing Asian countries; he gave as example the contracts of the university with 7 of the 10 best universities in China, the specialty Japanese Studies is 20-year old already, and the contract for Bulgarian-Korean IT Centre is to be signed shortly.

Both sides expressed the opinion that the Indonesian Language should shange the status of an elective discipline at Sofia University.
