"Leaving a true track"

The University Rescue Team presented the project "Leaving a true track" at the European Volunteering Travel in the National Palace of Culture.

The travel dedicated to the European Year of Volunteering was completed. Different volunteer organizations presented the activities and goals they pursue during the last third day of the event and gave ideas for development of the volunteering in Bulgaria.
Sofia University was represented by the University Rescue Team at the conference: an organization of volunteers, students and lecturers at the University. The Team presented the project "Leaving a true track" organized under the Youth in Action Programme which main aim is to renovate the tourist track of the European trans-country walking rout E-4 with the help of the children of the orphanage from the village of Doganovo.
A Bill of the Volunteering was presented during the conference by the Minister of Culture Vezhdi Rashidov. The event ended by a discussion, in which Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva and Minister Vezhdi Rashidov took part.
