"There is no doubt that 'the boundaries we live in are the boundaries of the language we speak', as said by Ludwig Wittgenstein. That is why the role of the Faculty of Classical and Modern Philology, Sofia University, is so important for opening the borders and widening the world for everybody who has encountered a foreign language and culture. This collection presents the scientific and educational interests of the lecturers, professors, assistant professors, PhD students and other colleagues, who mediate the dialogue among the many cultures and languages studied in the different departments of the Faculty. The articles are selected among the presented at the jubilee conference of the Faculty, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the University."
