The University Library and Sofia University Museum opened a jubilee exhibition"My language and syllable". It is dedicated to the150th anniversary of Acad. Alexander Teodorov- Balan, the first Rector of Sofia University and founder of Sofia University library, which has compiled one of the richest library funds.
His books and belongings, and unique documents are shown. Acad. Balan is one of the most renowned Bulgarian scientists, who worked against the excessive borrowings and for their replacement with resonant Bulgarian words.
The opening was attended by Prof. Ivan Ilchev, the Rector; descendants of the Balans, lecturers, students, citizens.
