An opening address was issued by H.E. Golamreza Bageri Mogadam, Iranian Ambassador in Bulgaria. After the official ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Aleksander Iliev presented the documentary film "Bulgarians: the grandfathers' land" in Iran in 2011.

Some paralels between the material culture of the Bulgarians and Sasanid Iran were delivered by Dr Teodor Dimitrov. Other topics to be presented will cover the Eastern Roman Empire, the Iranian peoples during the 4th-7th c. AD, Iranian ethnocultural characteristics of the ancient Bulgarians, Anti and Slavs, among others.
