Sofia University "St Kliment Ohridski" with deep regret announces the death of
Prof. Stefan Stoyanov

Prof. Stoyanov was born in 1943 in Bourgas. His study and work were devoted to Sofia University exclusively; he specialized in Japan, Germany, and Greece. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Chemistry, and a Vice-Rector since 2003.
One of the causes he supported was Sofia University to be recognized as a National University. He received the Blue Ribbon of Honour in recognition of his contribution to higher education and science. He was acknowledged and respected by the scientific and lecturing staff.
