Prof. Draganov was born in Dragodan, Kyustendil Region, on 18th August, 1937. He worked in the Institute of Sociology, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, for almost 40 years and gave lectures in Social Psychology for the Faculty of Journalism and Mass Communication, Sofia University. He published 10 monographs and more than 200 articles and papers. He was the Chair of the research committee in social psychology for the International Sociology Association, Vice-President of the Bulgarian Sociology Association. He was awarded the medal "Sts Cyril and Methodius" and the Honorary Blue Ribbon Insignia of Sofia University. He was also awarded the insignia "Professor Emeritus"of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

The academia will well remember him with deep respect.
