Half of the grants offered by foundation Eureka were given to Sofia University students

The grants were given today, in the National Palace of Children; the celebration started at 1 p.m.

The total number of the grants for 2011/2012 is 40. Almost half of them, 18, were awarded to Sofia University students.

Named after scientists grants at the amount of BGN 2 000 were given to:

- For achievements in the field of mathematics, named after Academician Nikolay Obreshkov - to Stefan Savov Vasilev;

- For achievements in the field of physics , named after Academician Georgi Nadzhakov - to Sunaj Ibrjamov Ibrjamov;

- For achievements in the field of chemistry, named after Rostislav Kaishev - to Nina Veselinova Kuneva.

Grants for golden medalists in international Olympic competitions at the amount of BGN 1 200:

- Vladislav Valeriev Haralampiev;

- Nikolaj Ivanov Beluhov.

Grants for silver medalists in international Olympic competitions at the amount of BGN 1 000:

- Zhivko Nikolaev Zhechev;

- Svetozar Zlatkov Stankov;

- Svetoslav Stefanov Karaivanov;

Grants for bronze medalists in international Olympic competitions at the amount of BGN 800:

- Borislav Atanasov Vulkov;

- Vasil Vasilev Karayonchev;

- Veselin Stanimirov Aleksandrov;

- Georgi Vladimirov Gerganov;

- Georgi Dimitrov Magaranov;

- Ivan Vergiliev Georgiev;

- Kristian Hristov Kirov;

- Subi Teodosiev Teodosiev.

Foundation Eureka supports talented Bulgarian children and young people in the field of science, technology and entrepreneurship, encourages education and training and supports young inventors, scientists and entrepreneurs.
