The exhibition "Christian art from Goa" by the Indian photographer Binoy K Behl has travelled around the world. It can be visited from 18th to 30th April, 2011, Alma Mater Gallery at Sofia University.

The official opening was on 18th April, which was attended by the Ambassador of India H.E. Mr. Divyabh Manchanda who is a personal friend of the author.

Old Goa is one of the first places in India which was invaded by Christianity. The place was heavily populated with Christian churches during the period between 16th and 18th c. AD. The buildings were built following unique monumental style of wood carvings, golden altars and rich wall paintings and frescoes. Of the 60 facades only seven have left, and they are protected by UNESCO.

Binoy K Behl made these unique churches available for the world, together with Indian history and the influence the western and the eastern cultures have on it.
