First prize in the competition for fractal arts "Spring 2010" in category "Fractal Films" won Assoc. Prof. Pavel Boychev, lecturer in the Department of Information Technologies, Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia University.
Fractal derives from the Latin word fractus /irregular/ and was developed to describe the irregular forms in the world with the means of non-Euclidean geometry. The fractals today describe the fluctuation of the market, the dispersion of the stars, the caverns of the lungs, etc and are part of all sciences, art and computer design.
